1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website jnlnotaryservices.com (the "Site") or booking any service offered by JNL Notary Services ("Company," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of this Site immediately.
2. Services Provided
JNL Notary Services provides notarial services in the State of Oregon, including but not limited to: general notary work (acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, affirmations, copy certifications, and witness services), mobile notary services, Remote Online Notarization (RON), and apostille preparation and courier services. We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice. Nothing on this Site constitutes legal advice. Clients are encouraged to consult a licensed attorney for matters requiring legal guidance.
3. Appointment Policy
Appointments are confirmed upon receipt of booking confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a service appointment if the signer fails to present acceptable government-issued identification as required by ORS 194.225, if the document presented appears to be fraudulent or incomplete, if the signer appears to be acting under duress or without understanding of the document, or if the requested notarial act would violate Oregon law or professional standards. Cancellations made less than two (2) hours before a scheduled appointment may result in forfeiture of any prepaid session fees.
4. Payment
Service fees are due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept [list your payment methods: cash, Venmo, Zelle, credit card, etc.]. Travel fees and surcharges are disclosed prior to the appointment and must be agreed to in advance, as required by ORS 194.400.
5. Limitation of Liability
JNL Notary Services is not responsible for: errors in documents prepared by the signer or third parties; rejection of notarized documents by receiving agencies; delays in apostille processing by the Oregon Secretary of State; or any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages arising from use of our services. Our total liability to any client for any claim arising from notarial services shall not exceed the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
6. No Unauthorized Practice of Law
JNL Notary Services does not engage in the unauthorized practice of law. We do not select documents, advise on the legal effect of documents, or counsel clients on immigration matters. Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that the documents they present are accurate, complete, and appropriate for their intended purpose.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of JNL Notary Services or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Washington County, Oregon.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to this Site. Continued use of the Site or our services after posting constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
